Will CDRecord work with Warp ver 3? I have an IBM CDRW drive. I will be getting an external PCMCIA drive case.

I still can not get Warp ver 3 pcmcia detect software to see the cd drive in the pcmcia drive case as something other than a hard drive that is 'not ready' (it can not be accessed - when I try I get an error message). Having CDRecord work with it is a 'mute point' if I can not get to be seen by Warp ver 3. but I am still working on it.

Did it workout or make any different when using the latest PC-Card software?

It sill saw it as a hard drive that was not ready. I have not tried anything recently. I have downloaded the pccard source code from the IBM DDK site but have yet to do anything with but plan to in the future (not easy since I am not a programmer).

you should look at the flags on the driver it is possible you simply don't have it set to use removable media through the pcmcia (I had this problem with warp 4)

I used xdfcopy to create Warp ver 4 diksettes from the disimgs directory. I used these diskettes (over 100 of them) to insall Warp ver 4 on my notebook computer (no fixpaks yet). It still sees the external drive with cd as a hard drive. There is a cd in the drive but nothing happens (I did remember to turn it on). The pcmcia plug-n-play does not (IIRC) a setting for cd drives. I will check the 'flags' on the drivers).
