| Curious about support for PCI Express within OS2. Since i don't have system myself with PCI Express I now wonder if there is anyone out there that have had the opportunity of testing this under OS2. Reason for asking is that the new Expresscard that will replace PC-card connects to the system either via PCI Express or USB 2.0 (as far what I have managed to figure out). So if PCI Express more or less works as PCI, well then OS2 Users are in the safe then, or? Enlight me! |

| Hi Kim, I think if we think through the question, we could probably understand it. Remember the "bruhaha" surounding AGP when it was new? Many people in the OS/2 community wondered if AGP would work with OS/2. AGP didn't cause a problem. For the moment, let's forget about OS/2 and ask the same question as it applies to Windows. Can Windows be installed on a system with PCI-E? My guess is that PCI-E should not be a problem to OS/2 (eCS). However, with that in mind, I would like to know the answer to your question also. |

Well, agree with your backward question about AGP; but AGP was still based on plain PCI just that the bus speed has increased. So by having said that; I just maybe have answered the question myself But, when looking at the pci epress bus it has changed a lot from the normal plain PCI-bus at least the look of it.Same question could apply for 64bits PCI bus; does they work; well assume so; but one still would need drivers. Are there 64bits PCI boards actually running under OS2? But having said that; if we could assume above regarding the PCI Express; well then it would actually be great for OS2 users since both PCI and USB are well working under OS2 |

| Are there any computers that use PCI Express? (have it installed?). It would not be easy to test it if it is not only any available computer.

| From what I heard from Scitech boards, PCI Express is working fine as far as video card support. I do not know about other uses for PCI Express, but it may just be a matter of writting a driver which is compatable. |

Actually most new moderboard today have PCI Express; I had a system at home a while ago with PCI Express but never came around to test it out and as well I never had any PCI Express hardware to test out. |

| I have new computer DELL Precision 370 with PCI Express. The OS/2 system working without promblems, but I am in trouble with NVIDIA graphics card. Scitech SNAP don't know graphics chipset. |

| Have you had the opportunity of testing with some simple PCI Express cards yet, such USB-cards? |
