I went to WarpStock Hershey. It is a 2 1/2 hour drive from my home. It is the first time I went to one. On the last day (10-09), they had tickets to see who would win a DFSee disc, a desktop computer by FinnSoft, and a Thinkpad. I won the Thinkpad. It is so cool.

They also had some giveaways; books, software.

It was great to actually meet people who knew what I was talking about when I say 'OS/2' or 'eCS'.

Congrats Tom!
...ehh... so you don't have a need anymore for the T22 we've been talking about lately, right? I'll take it then! )
(just kidding)

P.S.: What's your impression about WarpStock Hershey in matters of visitor numbers?

Greetings
Thomas

I still have and will use the T23. The T23 is lighter than the A22m. I still have some previous Thinkpads (a 762, a 755CD and a 760EL - they are like Pringles; you can't have just one ).

WarpStock Hershey was really great. It was one of those 'why did I not go before'? It was my first time. It will not be my last time. It was great meeting people who know what I am talking about when I say/ask about OS/2 or eCS. I was told that there was 68 people there. It was a nice crowd. I was able to go to a couple of lectures.

They had a brief discussion of the next Warpstock being on a cruise line. I think that would be really cool (unless one gets seasick or motion sickness really easy).

It rained all the way to Hershey; which was a 2 1/2 hour trip for me. It was worth going to.

The A22m has eCS 1.2 on it. I have to get a licence for it to overwrite the one that is on it but belongs to someone else.

Hi again,

BigWarpGuy (11 Oct, 2005 15:42):
I was told that there was 68 people there. It was a nice crowd.

...and you went there for one day? I mean... that's 68 people on one day, right? The reason for me asking is that I know the visitor numbers for Warpstock last year and Warpstock Europe last year and I want to figure out "tendancies" in visitor numbers... just curious what we are heading towards in matters of "community"...

Greetings
Thomas

I went Saturday and Sunday; 10-08 and 10-09. I do not know if 68 was the count for both days. It was a number that I heard someone say. I do not know what the official count was. It would be good to find out what it was. I will check http://www.warpstock.org for the official count. I will also be sending them photos that I took there too (I also did some short videos too).
