I have a problem with instalation of OS/2 Warp 4. I have big hard disk (60 GB). Fdisk recognizes it badly and I cannot share my hard disk propety. When I tried to share my hard disk by an other program (for example Ranisch Partition Manager), FDisk did not recognize this partition.

Thank you in advance. I am waiting for reply.

I have already known what is the Hobbes. I found it but I do not know where this modified setup disk is. (what name, directory)

Go here:

http://www.warpupdates.mynetcologne.de/english/inst_diskettes.html

And grab the diskettes from the setion that is titled: Warp 4 Installation Diskettes Update.

Thes files are executables that will create updated diskettes for you (two of the three, anyway - that is all you need). While the readme files all say "for IBM ThinkPads" - ignore this and proceed.

1. Search there disk drivers with names DANIxxxx.zip They are Daniella Engbert's drivers, which you will need when you install Warp4 on a large disk.
2. Make copies of your installation disketes.
3. REPLACE the files on the copies of the installation diskettes with the files found in the zips. Either they have the same name or there is a readme in the zip, which will tell you what to do.
Most likely, you will need to delete some files from the copies so that you obtain a room for the drivers. If you do not have SCSI then you can delete some specialized SCSI drivers (do not delete the base ones). You should be able to detect these drivres by their names: SCSICardName.SYS . If you do not have such card and if you won't have it then you can delete the driver.
4. Do not forget to add SET COPYFROMFLOPPY=1 to the CONFIG.SYS file.
5. Install Warp4 by means of your copies of installation diskettes. If you succeed then do not throw the copies away Store them somewhere for later installations instead.

Is it only for gurus? Sorry. Warp4 is old. It expects HD which can run under LBA, that means, HD less than 8 GB big.

Hobbes is an online archive site for lots and lots of programs, drivers and software for OS/2-eCS. It is free to download anything at the site. The url is http://hobbes.nmsu.edu

It is one of my favorite places for OS/2-eCS software. Another is http://www.bmtmicro.com , http://www.os2site.com , http://www.os2bbs.com (this one require membership to download files).

That's weird. At any rate, it's not hobbes who is doing that. I have internet only in my work and, of course, I am forced to access the net with Winblows Neanderthal Technology and I can access hobbes without any problems.

Therefore, the problem seems to be with your computer. I offer the following: I will download the driver files for you and send them to you by email (several hundreds of kilobytes but not megabytes). Send me an email if you want me to do it.
