| Just wondering, but is FWE a dead product? I tried to contact the author, but haven't heard anything at all... My problem is that FWE won't work anymore, tried to re-install and still wont work. |

| You need to remove a file that exists in the folder, I cannot remeber anymore wha the file is but if you use uninsall that file is left there (by virtue of it being read only if I remember correctly) Brilliant programmers editor, best one currently available for OS/2 but I had other problems with it as well. |

Well, this was done, cleaned out the entire directory and installed again. But, won't work... but if it works at your side it should work here at my side as well... Frustrating since I've used this as my primary editor for so many years. |

| Yes, I deleted the installation directory as well, just to be sure. But, same error, clicks on the icon and nothing happends. No error messages or so either. Nada. |

I met same situation several times...but I don't remember well how I solved it. I hope following procedure is worth to try. 1. Run FweInst.exe and select "Uninstall" then do. 2. Run FweInst.exe again and select "Install" then do.If it doesn't work, please let me know. I will try to contact author of FWE in Japanese. |

last updated at 07 Feb, 2004 17:49 (1 times) What about that; using the uninstall feature was the trick to fullfill a new installation and this time it works. Well, for once it was of use to use the uninstall feature that came along. I've used FWE for 5 or 6 years and never had this problem earlier./Kim |

| Well, this last weekend I re-installed my system with the bad result of the FWE won't work at all?! So there is something wierd with FWE; so if anyone have contact with the developer it would be great to hear any kind of suggestion that one should check. /Kim |
