1. WebCamSource Code(?) |
|
|
last updated at 18 Feb, 2004 15:30 (1 times) I asked for if webcam at http://hobbes.nmsu.edu would be updated. The author sent me the source code. I will attempt to work with it so I can use my USB webcam (I am not a programmer but I will give it the 'ol college try'). The link (I hope it works) for the file at my web site is http://www.os2world.com/jerseywarp/WebCamSource.zip (I can 'burn it' to a mini-cdr and mail to them, just send me the address at/to jerseywarp@os2world.com ).

| Tom the code that you got, do you think that it would be possible to get it to work against USB based webcams? What cams are currently supported? |

As far as I know it does not support usb webcams but that is my goal with this 'project'. I am not a programmer but I will try to see if it could be used with usb webcams. I am having problems with downloads of the webcamsource file (I might have too much on my limited web site). I will probabaly have to delete a couple of programs/files to make room for it. I will post when it works.

| Tom, if you need filestorage space for downloading I can set up a ftp account for you so that the files can be downloaded. Please let me know and I'll set it up for you. |

Sounds like a terrific idea!! There are those who have said they are interested in the sourcecode to see if it could be used with webcams. Can I use the ftp-pm that was with the internet access kit from IBM? I use it to upload files, web pages to my web site to my web site. It is truly appreciated. Thanks much.

I have uploaded the files to the site created for me. It will not only be enough room for the current files but also for files that would be a result of programming/project of createing a webcam driver/programs for OS/2-eCS. I am still working on the page so anyone can download the program/files.
