On December 26 a massive tsunami (tidal wave) brought devastion to coastlines stretching from Sri Lanka to Indonesia and as far west as Somalia and Kenya. An enormous amount of relief is required with upward of 126,000 dead and millions of people homeless.

Any thoughts can be posted here...

I have heard that the rains are not helping the relief projects but there are alot of aid on its way or there. It will be a very big project to help those in need.

They mention a 'torrent' file. Is this some sort of video file? What program plays/views it?

BitTorrent is a P2P file-sharing tool. "torrents" are the files that describe what can be downloaded. To use them, you need a BitTorrent client. The only working client I know of for OS/2 is the basic python client. There is a packaged version of this on hobbes called "tor2.zip" that is simple to install and use. And it works well.
