| Hi Everyone, I had heard that there were no USB drivers for OS2, but you all seem to have USB working. I currently have 0S2 warp 3 and Warp 4. Where can I get drivers for these? Thanks. Connie Connie F |

| Well, the latest drivers are only available from IBM Software Choice, it's a fee based service from IBM. The older drivers can be found at OS/2 Device Driver Pak Online, click here to get directly to the USB section. |

| Or, you could consider upgrading your system by getting eComStation. Latest USB drivers are included, among many other exciting stuff.

Plus, after you do get the base package(And I do have it) - then you may have alot of fun finding specific drivers depending on what usb devices you have; unless of course you haven't already purchased those devices or can spend some more money getting devices that do work. I have four usb devices and I cannot access any of them under warp 4 since their are no specific usb drivers for them and eCS doesn't have them either. So I can only use them under windows which I would rather use them under warp 4 but unfornately I don't have the money to revamp all the usb hardware right now. Bottom line - I'm outta of luck.![]() Check the os2\usb site first. All I can say is - good luck. regards, |

| Well to be honest the only one of the four I would like to use would be the scanner. It's a hp Scanject 5300c usb scanner. Of couse, it maybe I am the only human being out there using os/2 and having a hp 5300c usb scanner and that's why noone seems to interested in(who knows how) in getting Tame/2 to support it. From what I have read it was actually manufactured by avision for hp and even though it uses a usb physical connection it actually uses a scsi command set over usb. I checked into the usbscanner driver over at hobbes along time ago but the included readme file says it supports the 5200 but not the 5300. The supplied windows software that came with it is not very good. Crashes every now and then(What a surprise!) whilst attempting to use it but at least I can use it. The ethernet\usb dsl modem I can solve that with getting a ethernet card, could get a little messy with pci slots\irq assignments but I can handle it. The other two are a Logitech RumblePad Wingman gamepad and Intel CS330 webcam - not that urgent of a need to get those going really. So, if I could just get the scanner working - I would shutup and be content. ![]() regards, |

| According to following posting the scanner you're mentioning is not on the list of scanners they have verified working. Following HP scanner is on the list (guess that there is a new list actually): HP IIP Tame can be download from following url: |

| Yes, I have already looked at that list. I e-mailed them sometime ago and the response I got back was that some dll had to be ported over to get the scanner working if I recall but I guess no one is willing to port it I guess. The orginal linux avision backend to sane supports the scanner but that is linux. So once again I am back to square 1. I guess I could download tame and try it but I doubt if it would even see the scanner much less allow it to work. regards, Later... |
