| Not entirely original, but something I've wanted to do for awhile. I only wish I had a higher quality TrueType font to feed POV-Ray (that's the source of the "jaggies"). Please see attached ... |

last updated at 15 Jan, 2007 19:15 (2 times) Looks good. I tried remaking it myself and you are correct, the font does not render the edges smoothly. It also gave me an idea. From you idea, I came up with this graphic. |

| DavidG, Nice. I like the effect. It adds a layer of detail. I expect the text to be moving at me ... just like the Star Trek movies. |

| Well the colors could probably use improvement but here is a variation on this one and an earlier one by David. |

About POV-ray (used way back ago) are there any updated and working gui for OS2? |

eCS is to OS/2 what Star Trek NG is to the original Star Trek. I like it (especially since I am a Trekkie).

I use the DOS version still available on the FTP site of povray.org. Also note, the 3D wire modeler, "MORAY" has alowed their DOS version for free use for some time now. |

| the OS/2 one doesn't display as it renders. I use an older DOS one (last one supported). Of course anything can be ported, but trying to find someone to do it would be hard. What we need is to turn every OS/2 & eCS user into a developer. We need to ... raise an army. |

An army of developers? 'And the geek shall inherit the earth'? (revised edition ). Perhaps have an online course so OS/2-eCS users can learn to program/develope software(?).
