1. Silly question about UNIAUD

Good day to all of you!

Hopefully someone can answer my silly question. I just downloaded the UNIAUD_latest_1.zip file from Netlabs.org to try out UNIAUD on a DELL laptop that I have OS/2 running on. The problem I am having is that I cannot figure out how to install it! When I unzip the file into a temporary directory it only contains the following files:
log
uniaud.dll
UNIAUD.ZIP
uniaud16.sys
uniaud32.sys
unimix.exe

None of which provide me with any hints on how to install the UNIAUD driver. I attempted to install it using the minstall program but it keeps telling me that there is no profile file in the directory where the UNIAUD files have been unzipped into.

Could someone please let me know how I install this driver?

Go to http://os2.kiev.ua/en/uniaud.download.php and download the uniaud driver. Create a temporary directory to unzip it. Unzip the newer uniaud driver into that directory. Since the one has the installation files and the new(ish) .sys files, it will install the newer files to your computer. I hope this helps.

Thanks to both of you, I now have sound on my Compaq Presario R3150US notebook.

Now one thing I have discovered. I can no longer change the sound settings on the fly. I have to make the changes and reboot for the changes to take effect.

To install, I had to bypass the GUI minstall found in eCS 1.2. It kept giving me an error message. Using the command line version of minstall, the driver installed just fine.
