Yes yes, I'm fully aware of it and that Depeche Mode have nothing to do with OS2... or well who knows. I got the album one hour ago so stillplaying here at my location So far there has only been one track that wasn't my style. It a good mixture of plain old soft Depeche Mode (Black Celebration) with a twist of violator and Ultra.

And I manage to get tickets to the Globen, Stockholm concert as well - sold out in two hours.

Well, this is called "General Discussion", isn't it?

I used to have the "Singles" and "Black Celebration" albums myself. I still think there are some great songs included. Things like "Everything counts" or "Blasphemous rumours" are really all-time greats.

Do you happen to know "The Tear Garden"? That's a collaboration of members of "The Legendary Pink Dots" (who have done some extremely great and different work) and "Skinny Puppy". I don't like most electronic stuff, but "Tired Eyes Slowly Burning" and "The last Man to Fly" by them are an exception. The singer has a very extraordinary voice.

Hmm nope never heard about The Legendary Pink Dots but Skinny Puppy I know very well. I've seen them live here in Sweden many years back... Was still in school so I was pritty much into heavy techno and electronic music such as mentioned Skinny Puppy ofcourse and Nitzer Ebb (best records they ever made was the two first albums) and then we also have to remember Front 242. Also their first 3 - 4 albums was the best. Another favorit to be mentioned is Einsturzende Neubauten... argh.. it so long time ago that I actually wrote their name so guess that I got it wrong. Music was a big part of my life during my college period. Sort of missing it and all the time I spent.

Hm, The Tear Garden isn't really heavy electronic music. No EBM. I'm more in for the more melodic stuff.

As far as "Einstürzende Neubauten" are concerned (your spelling was correct, btw :-)), I like the newer stuff on "Tabula Rasa", not the old "Listen with pain" stuff.

I'm still listening to music a lot. LPD, David Sylvian, And Also The Trees, Neil Young, Lou Reed, ... (pretty diverse a list. isn't it?). But I haven't been to live shows for a long time now. It's a shame.

I've actually seen EN once in Malmoe (Sweden) and also had the chance to talk to Blixta (the singer in EN). Gee he looked like he had a little to much snow, angel dust or what ever. Actually also missed one concert in Munich way back, think it was 1993 or 1994. We drove from South Sweden directly down to Munich on 10 hours and missed he concert with EN... bad! Took us weeks to overcome that Agree also to that the never material is the best material.
Today, I'm sort of mostly listening to the crap on the radio. But, looking at the last CD I bought (yeah, not everything has to be MP3 ) has been "The Ark" Swedish group with a sounds that is sort of mixture of old David Bowie (who is great also), Depeche Sounds (the voice of Gahan). Well, if You haven't listen to them give them a try. Think You gona like it. I actually also have to admit that I bought Madonnas latest album, but it's actually sort of nice to listen too sometimes.
