Just wondering, but has anyone looked into Gizmo Project that offers an alternative to Skype. Gizmo has some thoughts and ideas about using open source standards as well it might not be impossible to do a port to OS2, or?

| I tried to find an e-mail address to send a question to but did not find it. Is there one but I could not see it?

If it is not an open source project it will be hard to get it under OS/2. It seems to use open standards, but we will have to see if it is easy to create an open source clone of it. A java version will be usefull for us too.

There is an open source project called gnomemeeting. You can do voice and video with it. You can use it to do direct computer to computer voice or voice/video calls. gnomemeeting source might be a good source for an OS/2 port http://www.gnomemeeting.org/

There are sections at http://www.edm2.com about porting programs to OS/2-eCS. Perhaps it could be a good place for such porting? EDM/2 has been updated. Even though there is no real need, I created a group at Yahoo for EDM/2 discussion. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/edm-2
