1. eComStation on 2 CD's? |
|
|
I just recently received eComStation. It had two cd's. I will be installing it soon. Is there just 2 cd's or are there/suppose to be more? I bought the 'basic' eCS. I just want to be sure I am getting what I am suppose to have. I ordered it through BMTMicro ( http://www.bmtmicro.com ).

2 CDs are okay. The third CD contains add-ons, which are not a part of the "basic" operating system. The first CD contains complete eCS. The second CD contains lot of OS/2 related open projects, drivers, freeware and shareware. |

| One detail about installing eCS: The very first thing you should do is: Take your license, go to ecomstation.com, and register! You will need the first 10 symbols from your license key. The registration is free of charge. After registering, get your license key in the electronic form from the site. Place the key on a diskette. Now, you can install eCS. When you get prompted for the license key, insert the diskette into your machine and let the installation program to read your license key from there. OTHERWISE, YOU WILL HAVE TO ENTER THE WHOLE KEY (160 symbols) MANUALLY! Big Bill is a complete diletant as far as inventing senseless passwords and registration keys are concerned! |

It makes people a lot more careless with their eCS passwords.. On diskettes, the HD ect... (hey, can I borrow a diskette from you?.. ) |
