| Is the HPFS limitation for the boot sector or any partition/hard drive? I partitioned my hard drive with c: being 2 gig and d: being 17 gig. Both have been formated using HPFS. Would the limitation only apply to the boot drive/partition or to the whole drive (as partioned as one big drive; just c:)? Can on boot from a JFS hard drive/partition?

6. Re:Hard drive limitation [Booting on JFS] |

|
| The limit is based on the partition it self and regarding booting JFS it's not possible with the out of the box code within OS2 and eCS. But, there are some new jfs drivers currently in early beta testing developing by Russian team and they have managed to get an OS2 system to boot on JFS-partition. Mentioned issue is that chkdsk will trash scenter.cfg on hard reset, hpfs wont. |
