| There is a search going on for the author of the Themes/2 program. Themes/2 is a program to use Win95 desktop themes with OS/2. Does anyone know what his e-mail is? I want to know if it will be updated or if it could be open sourced.

| I see no wrong in using the tools you had on hand to try to seek this individual. The OS/2 and eCS news groups were a logical place to start. No harm in trying. |

| The person who was originally seeking the person did not wish for me to look/search for that person. Apparently the person I found was not the person who did the program but I have not heard from that person saying so. I thought it was a great idea to get the author of theme/2 to open source their program.

| Actually I still think it is a great idea to get the themes/2 author to open source the source code. I think they are some really neat themes at http://www.topthemes.com and other locations (not to get OS/2 to look like Win but to have matched icons/cursors/backgrounds (like the one for Disneys Goofy, Coca Cola, cars, movies, etc).

| Bigwarpguy, I don't think the objection was to looking for the author of Theme/2, but, how you did it. Someone was already looking, and then there seemed to be a flood from you "helping". They might have been worried that you would scared the author away. If I had been the author of Theme/2, I'm not sure if I would have responded well to your approach. Anyway, wait another week or two. I started writing a Windows theme installer in Rexx a while back. Over the last few weeks, I've returned to it, and, it is almost ready for publishing. The main thing I have to do is finish the documentation. Unfortunately, the bit I have to write is why a theme won't install, or, work.

| I look forward to your program. With it coming, there is no reason to look for the themes/2 author. If 'asking around' was considered 'flooding', I apologize for it. I hope I did not do more harm than good.
