Hello all, regarding I remember an announcement, but don't remember the implementation. I set up three POP 'alien' accounts, but they all fail when authenticating. Cheers,

Yes, it's up and running, you might ref. to an earlier posting saying that I would in the near future set up the request form again - well, the form isn't up yet. But the webmail and pop feature is available and working. So there shouldn't be any problem using it. Regards,

Also, the userid used within the online forum has currently nothing to do with the webmail system. So to access the wemail system you have to use the provided userid and password userd to access the pop account. /Kim

yes, I'm a ware of the two independent logins (luckily they can be made identical ![]() I retried one of my pop accounts recently, and reentered the password (using the modify or edit button), and now that one works. Seems to be a little bug when creating an account, it doesn't pickup the password correctly (or it doesn't like cut&paste ?), and I also turned on the 'password encryption') I also get huge amounts of errors: 2) when creating a POP account to fetch I get these (but the POP account does get added: Warning: chmod failed: Operation not permitted in /home/os2world/httpd/html/webmail/functions/file_prefs.php on line 112 Warning: chmod failed: Operation not permitted in /home/os2world/httpd/html/webmail/functions/file_prefs.php on line 112 Warning: chmod failed: Operation not permitted in /home/os2world/httpd/html/webmail/functions/file_prefs.php on line 112 Warning: chmod failed: Operation not permitted in /home/os2world/httpd/html/webmail/functions/file_prefs.php on line 112 Warning: chmod failed: Operation not permitted in /home/os2world/httpd/html/webmail/functions/file_prefs.php on line 112 Warning: chmod failed: Operation not permitted in /home/os2world/httpd/html/webmail/functions/file_prefs.php on line 112 Warning: chmod failed: Operation not permitted in /home/os2world/httpd/html/webmail/functions/file_prefs.php on line 112 Warning: chmod failed: Operation not permitted in /home/os2world/httpd/html/webmail/functions/file_prefs.php on line 112 3) when changing the password for a POP account to fetch I get these errors (but the change does take place, so it does work) Warning: chmod failed: Operation not permitted in /home/os2world/httpd/html/webmail/functions/file_prefs.php on line 112 Warning: chmod failed: Operation not permitted in /home/os2world/httpd/html/webmail/functions/file_prefs.php on line 112 4) when I delete a POP accoutn to fetch, the account does get deleted, but I also get this: Have fun with it Cheers, |

How do those of us who have never used the Webmail service through this site and therefore do not have a user id, or password gain access to the webmail site so that we can create a new POP3 account (or access one that we currently have)? Shadallark

Wim, let me get back regarding the error since it seems that there are some random errors error. I have accounts that works without any problem and as well also managed to force the same errors that you have. Regarding getting an e-mail account here at the site would be to fill in the form that I haven't yet set up. But what could work out is that you just send an e-mail to pop@os2world.com with the suggestion of e-mail address, ie your_choice@os2world.com and your name. /Kim
