I just got a Belkin 80211.b wireless (cardbus) adapter. It's supposed to work with the IBMWifi drivers and it was only $10, so I gave it a try.My laptop is an IBM Thinkpad T40p on OS/2 Warp 4.52 with latest FP.
I installed the drivers and there are no errors booting. But aside from that, no luck (I tried it under WinXP same machine, it works). PC Card director shows a card inserted, but as memory (??). I have PCMCIA hard disk and also CompactFlash adapter, both work fine, so I know that part is okay.
The Belkin card shows no light, so it doesn't appear alive. Anyone care to post a sample CONFIG.SYS showing how to get this thing lit up? (e.g. with any wireless card).
Now I recall something about Cardbus vs. PCMCIA and one doesn't work on Thinkpads. Is this the issue?
I'm awaiting the mythical wireless drivers that's supposed to magically transform all Win drivers for work on OS/2. But till then, I don't have much other choice. Any tips?
