IMHO the problem should be in one of the DRAM chips... but don´t forget to test your hdd (for IDE disks the utility Powermax which you can download from maxtor.com could be used to diagnose it).

yeah, after i put this hdd into another computer, the apperance is exactly same, so the problem is located into the HDD or the os2 system software.
after i issue: fdisk ,first got the warning:
"The partition mapping on drive 1 maybe corrupted.
press any key"

then:

STARTABLE C:Primary fat 2000
none D:Logical fat 1004
none E:Logical fat 1004
none F:Logical fat 2000
none G:Logical HPFS 10001
none rimary unformatted 2000
none rimary freespace 20151

It looks the partition is okay, which tool can fix this kind of problem?
next step i think i need do a clone(backup) of this disk first,
then find a tools to fix the partition problem(which tool i should use?), if cant fix, i think i need re-create all patition by hand, then copy the data back.

any suggestion will be great.

Diagnose the disk using Powermax - extended Test . Powermax will fix the disk if possible. Then download recovery software from salvationdata.co (more info in their website), then clone the disk to another disk. Hope this helps.
