| You've excelled yourself with these, David. The best eCS/OS2 desktops I've seen in a looong time.Did you, by any chance, make any 1600x1200 versions of these fine backgrounds? and...Did you use Photoshop?Keep up the good work. --- ![]() |

I just touched up the first two graphics and replaced the originals. I failed to save the jpgs at the best graphic picture. So if you want to check out the difference, you will need to download the first two pictures again. I also created one more picture based on the medicine theme. As for my created backgrounds, I use two graphics programs. Photoshop Elements 3.0 ( I have 4.0, but don't like it and as a result did not purchase 5.0) and a vector graphic program called Xara Pro. Most of the desktops are created with Xara with on occasion, some modifications made to them by Photoshop Elements. Xara is similar to Photoshop Illustrator, but supposedly easier to use. I don't know since I am new to vector based graphics. I try to keep my graphics simple for two reason. I am no graphic designer and just started learning vector based graphics. IIf you saw some of the creations created by graphic artists using Xara, you would see what I mean. Their graphics are truly remarkable. Where I use two programs, they do all their work with Xara. Two, even though eCS/OS2 work with graphics greater than 256 colors for backgrounds, eCS/OS2 will only render the graphic in256 colors. Thus, what will look good under Windows will have a grainy effect under eCS/OS2. I created some 1600x1200 graphics just for you and uploaded them to the gallery. David |

| Thanks for the info and the 16x12 graphics, David. It's sad to know that our favourite desktops all get rendered down to 256 colours. That's a darn shame. 8\ All the same, keep up with the great graphics! --- ![]() |
