which card do you have, and did you find it off of the usb support site http://www.os2warp.be/index2.php?name=usbsite.. I tried a Belkin F5d6020 it was suppose to work with the standard IBMwifi2 driver.. (generic prism) driver.. I had no luck with it.. I bought a Cisco 340 on Ebay $25... it works great... My wireless routher is an USRoboitcs 8054 with DHCP I just installed the Cisco driver.. set my TCP to DHCP and rebooted... runs fine.. Best Dave |

I did not find a brand name on it but the serialnumber is PCM108DE. I checked the cdrom with the drivers but it covered a wide range of wifi devices. I will use the serial number to see if I can come up with a brand name. I was told to check http://ww.os2warp.de but it was not easy without knowing who made it.

I was told it might be a Lynksys card (IIRC on the spelling). I will check it out.

http://www.os2warp.be I was told that it might be a Linksys card. I went to the above site but it required a logon id and password before I could download it. While looking for where to join and receive the neccessary items, I came across this. " UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will we give logins and passwords to people other than OS/2 CHL hardware testing team members or developers. So don't bother to ask! " I guess I will not be able to download it from there.

I acquied the wifi drivers but I think my older notebook compute with Warp ver 4 (fixpak 15) does not see the pccard since it might be have older pcmcia slots. I will have to get a newer notebook computer to use them with. I tried the wifi card and they did not see the card. Either I installed the wrong driver or it does not see the card at all (by the plugnplay software for OS/2).

| ... that you are a spcialist of buying first and then checking for OS/2 drivers ?!? Remember PCMCIA-CD !? Having everthing but missing a cable ;-( But nothing heard about getting it to work ;-(( Now again with WiFi ;-((( I believe you will need to change your attitude: 1. Check your dream(s) and effective needs ! 2. Check for info (driver, guides, user recommendations) about choosen / well evaluated pieces 3. Get the drivers and guides before you buy and study again the prerequisites & restrictions given !!! 4. Everthing OK and understood: BUY !!!! Wishing you more luck & better systematic, BigWarpGuy ) |

| I remember the pcmcia cdrom drive. I was able to get it work with my Thinkpad. I do have a cable for it. It uses batteries up quickly. I also was able to get the pcmcia cdrw/dvd drive to work. It came with OS/2 drivers that the seller did not mention. It is true that I buy first and then see if there are drivers for it. The things that I buy are usually low in price (I win a bid on them on/at http://www.ebay.com ). I do learn from past experiences (when I bought the Canon USB printer after finding out therer were drivers for it at http://www.ibm.com and using it successfully with OS/2 then eCS). I have more than one notebook computer and not all of them use OS/2 or eCS. On one I would like to try ReactOS. On another I have FreeDOS and want to try WinDOS with it. I even have a notebook computer with Win on it. What can not be used with OS/2 or eCS, I might try to use on/with another os.

Did you try the latest PC Card Drivers. they helped me. PC Card Standard 8.0 Cardbus support for IBM ThinkPad systems is the latest driver. I tried some 'updated' pccard drivers but it just crashed my older Thinkpad. I will try the newer ones from http://www.ecomstation.com to see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the information.

Hi, BigWarpGuy, I have a web page on my OS2WarpLinks web site devoted to web sites that specialize in device drivers for OS/2 Warp. It is located at: http://www.os2warplinks.com/main/drivers.htm Despite the fact that OS/2 Warp is often slighted for not having enough drivers available, it is my largest web page! Good Luck !!
