I stupidly wanted to change my netwok card from Intel Pro-100 to a Reltek 8169, a Gigabit nic. Stupid, isn't it??- Well, I went in the MPTS, and removen the protpcols and network card.
- Then I inttalled the new driver found in rtgnda08.zip, modified this month.
- added the protocols: "0-TCP-IP", "0-Netbios", and "1-Netbios over TCP-IP".
- Shut down the machine, remove the Intel card, add the Realtek card, start the machine, tell the bios to reset the PnP table.
- Reboot of the PC. Error why loadings things. Probably trace of the intel driver in the Config.sys. I'll se that later, I thought. The rt8169 driver load. The TCP-IP worked, but not the PEER.
after mulétiple test, I thought it was a better idea to remove all the lan/network and reinstall everything. I uset MPTS to remove everything, and the "Lan service Installation and Configure" to remove the rest.
After reboot, I deleted the TCP-IP, MPTS and IBMLAN directories.
An to try to reinstall, I used the file "ecs1.1-cd1" s:\cid\server\mpts\install.cmd
It seemem that the install went OK. But no, the IBMLAN dir isn't back, the MPTS isn't back in the SETUP folder, and peer don't work..
You know what? I am not happy!
How do we reinstall all the network??
On http://www.os2voice.org/VNL/past_issues/VNL0398H/vnewsft.htm I found this nice advise:
3) reinstall MPTS, TCP/IP and PEER in that order.
Yes, but how? Where do I find the correct CMD or EXE file in the eCS CD to reinstall this???
Any help will be welcome.
