| I won a bid on a Connectix Quickcam. I bid on it since there are drivers/programs for it at Hobbes. I installed it (connects to the parrallel port and keyboard port [for power?]). I installed the software/driver CUSeeMe for OS/2. It installed okay. I rebooted but it could not detect the webcam. Is it a problem with the software/drivers or the webcam? Is there newer drivers for it? I also have another Connectix Quickcam that I attached to my Thinkpad with OS/2 Warp ver 4. I installed the same software. It could not detect that camera either. | At another group ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ecs-technical ), I was told to check out a program qv2. I think I saw it at http://hobbes.nmsu.edu as qv2-200.zip and qv2-202.zip. I will give them a try after I download them. With my Thinkpad, I was told at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nb2discuss that I should check with the Thinkpad utilities to see if it was activated. I will try that too.

| I was told of QuickView for OS/2. I downloaded qv2-202.zip from Hobbes. Instialled it. I rebooted the computer; both teh desktop and notebook computers. It works. It worsk with the QuickView software. It is not perfect but it works. The QuickView takes 'snapshot' pictures. I will be looking for software that can take videos (even if it is short ones).
