arr, your desktop pics are just fine. Mine was done using a new product
called The Ultima Visual Solution for OS/2. Delays have set the release
back a bit, but the product, and the web site will be ready on March 27th at
WarpFX.com. Again, the web sit won't be up untill the 27th. If you want to
know more, here a pic from the user guide.

Best regards,
Tim Swank

Ow... I thought you just draw a blue thing on your desktop background and did move the icons to the correct place.
And a special background image for the folders...
The rest can be done with eCS themes and Istyler??
It seeems I was wrong and there is more to it?..

For clarification,
The desktop image was from my own desktop, and yes the 'blue thing' was
drawn (rendered), but it is part of the backround. And yes the icons were
moved to the correct place. The intent was to show the typeof backrounds
in the Ultima package, there are over a hundred of them, along with icons,
animations, audio, and more. Yes, the same type of window theme can be
achieved using styler/2 varients. The Ultima theme was designed for use
with CandyBarZ. However, the images rendered for the titlebars and the
various pushbuttons are far more graphically advanced than those used in
previous themes designed for OS/2. Extensive use of three dimensional
imaging, shadows, and repositional techniques replaces the normally
flat, 2D work designed thus far. Here's a collage of images showing more
from Ultima.

Best Regards,
WarpFX

That's very impressive Tim. I think I will install candybarz and give it a spin. Should be very interesting when ultima gets released.

Hi Tim, just trying to help, but I noticed in the guide.gif - in the left column, second paragraph; is that word suppose to be exciting? It's spelled as exiting. If that's already been noticed and corrected, then just ignore this.

kind regards,
arr

arr, your right. Good catch! I can't believe that got past the proof reader.
Well, I guess his glasses need a good cleaning.

Concerning the "rendered launchpad"; I think that would be great if someone would actually develop a launchpad that would be skinnable like that. Would be awesome but probably wishful thinking. Who knows.

Has anyone been able to get to the new website yet? It's late in the day and the 27th but I still get a Page Not Found. Was there some kind of a unexpected delay in getting it up?

kind regards,
arr

It's hard to believe that there has been another delay, but there has.
The WarpFX web site won't be up for another several days. Several pages
of 'The Artisan' , the WarpFX newsletter, seem to be missing from the
server. We are correcting the problem, but some of the HTML has to be
redone. We apologize for the delay, and we appreciate your patience.
We wil post HERE in a few days, letting everyone know that we're back
in business. In the meantime, here's another backround. Enjoy!
