| Hi Doodle, with Dual-Head just the 1st Screen gets turned off, sometimes the 2nd Screen is black, sometimes there is still the picture of the screensaver-animation. The Screensaver crashes completely at the password-prompt without the following config.sys setting "SET SNAPHRES=2" Is this driver (snap) or screensaver related? Klaus |

The fact that only the first monitor is turned off is ScreenSaver related, I'll have to modify SSDPMS.DLL to send those commands to all available monitors. About the crash, I don't have the slightest idea. Doodle |

| Oh, by the way, I forgot to ask: What video card do you have? Do you use dual-head or do you use multiple cards? Doodle |

| I'm sorry for the incomplete bug-report: So complete Hardware Monitor: 2xIBM P275 (one attached with VGA, the other one with DVI) It's not a crash, it's a freeze of the Graphics, CAD works, but i wasn't able to type in my password. SET SNAPHRES=2 is a workaround, they don't describe exactly what they do but the OS/2 System-Clock had problems too. |

| Klaus, With the quick help of Steve from Scitechsoft, it seems that the first problem (that only one of the monitors is being turned off) is a bug of SNAP. He checked that both monitors are turned off with a Matrox card, but the second monitor have problems with an ATI Radeon card. You might also be able to check it, by running the gactrl.exe program in the SNAP folder, and doing the DPMS tests. He also shed some light on what the SET SNAPHRES is good for. The result is that its presence or absence should *not* cause any hangs or crashes in PM programs. It only tells the system that the desktop width reported to user applications should be divided by a given number. (So they center their windows into the first monitor.) So, if it still crashes without this SET, but does not with it, and it's a problem for you, I might create a debug version for you to track it down. In this case, please contact me directly in email. | Hello Doodle, you are right, suspend and Power Off just works on the 1st monitor. With the lockup i guess there might be a problem because the horizontal position is more than 2048 pixels? There was another program i remember which had trouble with that. Just an idea Whenever you give me the debug-version i'll test it. Happy Weekend, |
