1. Can FF2 and Tbird1.5 run co0ncurrently? |
|

| I'm running W4 FP15, stand alone except for the Internet. My tcpip is 4.00e. Everything has been running well, upgraded from Mozilla 1.6 and can't run FF2 and Tbird at the same time. Maybe this is normal, or maybe i need to upgrade my tcpip, which will be a major pain. The programs are in seperate folders; C;\firefox and C:\thunderbird. If FF is running and I start t-bird , t-bird fails to run and generates POPUPLOG.OS2 file, the last line being XPCOMCOR.DLL Appreciate a pointer in right direction, I ran a few searches on the forums, but didn't see an answer. Maybe it's too obvious. Steve |

There is a little more to it than that... If you are talking nightlies then yes, builds from the same cvs pull should work together. If you are talking releases then the release tags are not necessarily close enough to allow them to run without the LIBPATHSTRICT=T or more easily the use of RUN!.exe. Even cvs pulls at different times of the day don't always work together, depending on the changes that have been checked in. |

| Thanks, all, for taking the time to respond. Seeing that the xpcomcor.dlls were different sizes, I tried swapping them back and forth with no success. abwillis, the osbbs site link may have been reorganized, once there I was unable to bring up that reference, even looking for another route through the home page. Is there another reference I can read? Thanks again, Steve |

| Guess I should have asked this question as well.... awhile back. I had this problem and ended up just switching to seamonkey to take care of it. Thanks for all the info though, maybe I'll switch back and use the suggestions here. |
