I asked about updates to webcam at http://hobbes.nmsu.edu . The author sent me the source code for it with the request that he be given credit with it (I have no problem with that). I tried to uploade it to my web site but every attempt has yet to work (I could 'burn' a copy to a mini-cdr and send it to whoever requests it - my e-mail address is jerseywarp@os2world.com ]).

Thanks for the information. I will definitely check them out. It might be that uploaded incorrectly. I have other errors on my web site too. I will post when it is corrected.

I deleted some files and made sure it was transferred using 'binary' but it still does not work even though I have uploaded it asecond time to my site but it still does not work.

(I have uploaded the files to http://www.os2world.com/jerseywarp but they still do not download or the 'index.html' does not show up when I uploaded it).

I get a 504 Gateway timeout error when trying to reach your site?

Perhaps you could take Kim up on his offer to setup a ftp account for you.

I am sure many users would be interested to see if the code could be modified to make it work with USB webcams.

An ftp account would be great since my web site has a very limited amount of space (just over 5 megabytes).

I am glad others are also interested in it.

The links to the files at my website still does not work but there was a place created for the files at/hosted at http://www.os2world.com that has been made for them. It is something like http://www.os2world.com/jerseywarp . It is still being worked on. (the link would probably be something like this http://www.os2world.com/jerseywarp/WebCamSource.zip but I am not sure it would work - lots of work and writing and stuff).

Sounds good.

I hope you post a new message when you get it sorted out.

I note that you can now attach files to messages in this forum.

Btw is that picture on http://www.os2world.com/jerseywarp a photo of a frustrated web page designer? .

I will post when I am able to get it to work.

IMHO - I did not post the photo but it does show how I am having trouble with uploading the files/web site so others can download it.

Just send me your address so I can send it to you after 'burning' it to a mini-cdr. My e-mail address is jerseywarp@os2world.com . Uploading it to Hobbes would be appreciated.

When I click on the one link I receive "Not Found

The requested URL /jerseywarp/WebCamSource.zip was not found on this server.
Apache-AdvancedExtranetServer/2.0.47 (Mandrake Linux/1.4.91mdk) mod_perl/1.99_08 Perl/v5.8.0 DAV/2 PHP/4.3.1 Server at www.os2world.com Port 80 " even though I know I uploaded the file to http://www.os2world.com/jerseywarp using ftp.os2world.com and the password given me.

Tom,

I've moved the files to the correct location so everything should now work as supposed. So give it a try now to download files, it works.

It works, but the link on the page is incorrect, both links point to the same file, but the following link works :
http://www.os2world.com/jerseywarp/WebCamSource.Zip
