Please note that the new release is alpha-quality. It's even harder to configure, since it doesn't really come with any configuration utility. A way to get basic configuration is described in the included how-to, but you will most probably need to copy over some stuff from your older, working XFree86Config file. That said, it's working quite well here with my Matrox G400 card.
