Can anyone verify that the Thinkpad Z60 works fine with widescreen on ATI when using the SNAP drivers?

According to Steve, SciTech there is no support for widescreen on Intel and that it may work with ATI.

There is an OS/2 section of the forum. Perhaps someone there has tried it?

Well, checked with SciTech and it's not fully supported...

Kim,

just for personal interest... what Ati Chipset does the ThinkPad run on? I'm having an Acer Aspire 5020WLMi here that has an ATi Mobility X600 - which isn't fully supported either. Steve told me, that it won't be supported unless someone provides them with a notebook with such chipset.
(I'm currently thinking about shipping mine as it is a customer returned model that I have no urgent need for... but I am sure the shipping costs to Scitech will blow my head off...)

Greetings
Thomas

Would the maintenance manual have that information?

Perhaps one can get the chipset after entering the information at the above link?
