Hi all, I have been considering going multiuser-desktop on my warp 4 system. I have looked at several different ones on the net and I was wondering if there is a concensus out there of what the best software for this is out there. I have downloaded a system called Workplace System Access Control but I have not installed it yet. Should I bother with this, is something out there better based on y'alls' experience.

kind regards,
arr

Hi

I found MultiDesk/2 to be very useable for Warp4 and eCS1.0 systems - I did a review for voice:-

Hope that is of interest.

Hi,

A few years ago, I used DeskMan/2 for a while and bought a license at Warpstock Atlanta. You might want to check it out. It has some features to create and use multi-user Desktops. I'm not sure if it will co-exist nicely with current OS/2 or eComStation.

According to Syntegration OS/2 WARP Version 4.00 includes the Security Enabling Services as an optional component. Any one know how to access it?

Hmm Could this allso be something to consider...

Security/2 is a multi-user system for OS/2. It provides controlled access to
files, drives, drivers and other OS/2 stuff, based on access control list
for each user. Security/2 has modular structure and can be easily (i hope ) extended and provides a API for developers to enable their applications be multi-user.

You can download the latest version at hobbes...

With kind regards,
