Great with this current release, wvgui20021005.zip, the error with picture and audio not being in sync has been solved when playing mpegs.

Can one assume that the WarpVisionGui is only a front end and one needs to download WarpVision separatley? I downloaded Quake/2 only to realize it was only a launcher for Quake (DOS version)ie; front end for it.

Everything is in the ZIP file that you need to just download it and unzip and install (hmm or was it just that you had create the icon by hand.. ?). Well anyway it works really great now.

Thanks for the information. I thought I would have to download two files. Creating an icon would not be a problem (having it look decent is another thing ).

Will WarpVision work with Warp ver 3?

Hmm. it needs the DIVE and EMX so if you have that in the Warp 3 it should.

I am not sure about the dive (it uses the OS/2 drivers from http://www.os2site.com for wd). I did load some emx runtime files on my notebook computer. I will check for both. Thanks for the information.

Could be that the DIVE has been included in any of the FPs for Warp 3.

I did apply fixpak 26 for Warp 3. Hopefully it was part of the fixpak.

I tried it in Warp ver 3. It seems to run - it started okay. Since I don't have a cd-rom drive attached, I did not play a movie. How does one get the playlist to see a movie on the hard drive?

I have also tried it in Warp ver 4. There is a cd-rom drive. I put a vcd movie into the drive then started the WV but it did not see the vcd. How can I get it to see the movie on the vcd disc?

PS I unzipped it into a directory and used the program template to create an icon to start it by. Was there another way to install it? When I click on a .mpg file, it uses the pluginpak movie player from Netscape.

I right click on the WarpVisionGUI and a menu came up with a variety of options. One was to start a DVD. Another was to load a movie. I watched a couple of Holmes movies on a VCD disc (both were on the cd - it was an older Holmes with an actor[s] that I have never seen before). It played quite well.

I tried it on my notebook computer. I tried a couple of .avi files but it said it could not play them since it was a new(er) codec (IIRC). I tried an .mpg file but it 'crashed' WarpVisionGUI (the notebook has 36 meg ram, 1.5 gigabyte hard drive and Warp ver 3 with fixpak 26 using an OS/2 driver for my video chipset [at 256 colors]).
