Hi, I've bought Cherry G83-6300LUNRG USB keyboard and found some annoying problems with it. First whenever I swicth the keyboard layout (by Alt+Shift) the Alt key gets "stuck" so unless I press Alt once more the system thinks it is pressed. Second sometimes the keyboard starts skipping keys being typed and I have to disconnect then re-connect it to fix the problem. The drivers I use are the latest ones available from ecomstation.com. The keyboard is connected via a hub in the monitor. Have anyone experienced similar problems with an USB keyboard or have anyone an USB keyboard working without those problems? |

| I have a logitech MX3000. I use to experience the Alt key sticking but it seemed to have resolved when I added /Device:1 to the usb keyboard driver. |

| Thanks, Gregg. This helped a lot though haven't solved the problem completely (now I have 1 of 20 or so problem rate rather than 3 of 4). |

last updated at 19 Aug, 2006 00:40 (1 times) I also set this switch (/device:1) on the usbmouse driver at the same time along with the /v (verbose) switch for both drivers. I don't know if any of those changes effected the keyboard or not but I doubt that they will cause any problems so it might be worth trying. Also there is at least one key (F mode) on my keyboard that if I hit it it will cause a bunch (F1-12) of other keys to stop working. Is it possible you have something simular that is getting hit by accident? Have you checked the Devinfo line in config.sys to make sure the keyboard discription is correct? Or you can run keyb.com from a command line it will tell you the keyboard description and the code page it is translated to. Gregg |
